What makes hand-painted press-on nails different from regular nails?

Hand-painted press-on nails are crafted with detailed, artful designs done by skilled artists, not mass-printed. Each set features unique brushwork and fine detailing that adds depth and luxury to your manicure.

Are hand-painted nails reusable?

Yes! Our hand-painted press-ons are made with high-quality materials that allow you to carefully remove, store, and reuse them multiple times without losing their beauty or durability. 

How do I apply hand-painted press-on nails?

Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them completely. Gently push back your cuticles using a cuticle stick. Trim, file, and shape your natural nails as needed so they don't peek out from under the press-ons. Lightly buff the surface of each nail to remove shine. Wipe nails with an alcohol pad to remove oils. If using nail glue, apply a thin layer of glue to your natural nail and the back of the press-on. If using adhesive tabs, stick the tab to your natural nail or the press-on, then remove the protective film. Working from pinky to thumb, align the press-on with your cuticle, then press down firmly for 15-30 seconds. Avoid water and excessive hand use for at least 1-2 hours to allow the adhesive to fully set. I find a few minutes right before bed to be the best time to apply press-on nails. If using adhesive tabs, warming them with a hair blow dryer once they are applied can strengthen their adhesion.

Additional recommendations:

Hand painted nails can become "tight" or more curved due to how the paint cures. When receiving your press-on nails, size them against your fingernails to see if any need widening. To adjust your press-on nails, soak them in warm to hot water for a minute (such as in a coffee mug) and press on them with a spoon to gently flatten them. This can also be done easily in a sink of very warm water by pressing on them gently with your thumb (be sure not to burn yourself).

Can I remove the nails without damaging my real nails?

Absolutely. Soak your nails in warm, soapy water (some people also add a bit of oil) to gently loosen and lift the press-ons. Take your time and check the nails periodically to see how they are loosening. Avoid forceful pulling to protect your natural nails.

Where all do you ship to?

Currently, we ship exclusively within the United States. However, if you are located outside the U.S. or have special shipping requests, please feel free to contact us directly. We are happy to discuss potential options for additional shipping destinations.

How long will the nails last?

The hand-painted design is sealed with a durable clear coat that resists chipping and fading, lasting multiple uses with proper care.  

For a Quick Flair: Up to a week (3-7 days).  Simply use our adhesive tabs for short-term and spontaneous luxury.

Rock Them Longer: 15-30 days.  When you're all in for extended elegance choose to use nail glue.

What are your processing times?

Each exquisite hand-painted press-on nail set is a labor of love that requires meticulous attention to detail and artistry. To ensure the highest quality and flawless finish, please allow up to two weeks for your custom set to be thoughtfully crafted and perfected before shipment. This careful process guarantees that every nail arrives ready to elevate your look with lasting beauty and sophistication.

Can I customize my nail set?

Depending on the collection, custom orders may be available. Contact us to discuss personalized colors, themes, or motifs to create a truly one-of-a-kind set.

Are hand-painted nails safe for sensitive skin?

Since our paints are cured under UV lighting before reaching you, you do not risk exposing your skin to toxic chemicals that you might experience in a salon. All nails come with free adhesive tabs and nail glue produced by a third party. We recommend using the adhesive tabs or your own preferred nail glue if you have concerns about chemicals.

How do I care for my press-on nails?

Avoid harsh chemicals or nail polish removers. Remove nails gently when done and keep them stored safely to maintain their condition for reuse. We also recommend avoiding slamming them in doorways, cutting them with steak knives, or chewing on them.

What sizes are available?

Sizing kits are available to determine your perfect fit. When selecting your nails, select "Custom" to enter your sizes, from thumb to pinky.  Standard sizes are X-Small (3,6,5,7,9), Small (2,5,4,6,9), Medium (1,5,4,6,8), Large (0,4,3,5,7), and X-Large (0,3,2,4,6).

  • X-Small sizes 3, 6, 5, 7, 9 - for narrower nails.
  • Small sizes 2, 5, 4, 6, 9 
  • Medium sizes 1, 5, 4, 6, 8 - a balanced fit for average nail widths.
  • Large sizes 0, 4, 3, 5, 7
  • X-Large sizes 0, 3, 2, 4, 6 - for wider nail beds.

Additional Information:

Sizes differ very slightly between nail styles.  For instance, the x-small almond size 0 nail is 13mm wide whereas the x-small square size 0 nail is 13.2mm wide. Serica Belle sizing kits come in the different nail styles for this reason.  Our nail tips are from Apres Nails and exact millimeter variances can be found on their website at apresnails.com. 

What shapes/styles are available?

We carry round, square, almond, and coffin shaped nails. Reach out if you would like a larger size. We may be able to accommodate, but these are the sizes most often requested and kept in stock. X-Short Almond is not kept in stock due to not fitting most nail beds.

What comes with my order?

  • 10 press-on nails custom-sized for a perfect fit

  • 24 adhesive tabs for secure application

  • 1 bottle of nail glue for extended wear

  • 1  nail file for shaping and smoothing

  • 1 cuticle stick to assist with nail prep and press-on removal

  • 1 alcohol wipe for cleansing and ensuring optimum adhesion

Can I wear these nails for special occasions?

What is your refund/return policy?

Please note that due to the custom nature of our hand-painted press-on nails, we do not accept returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. We kindly ask that you carefully measure your nail size before purchasing to ensure a perfect fit, as we manufacture each order exactly as requested and cannot be responsible for incorrect sizing.
